Volunteer
Volunteers are the backbone to the LHYC they are on the front line in the lives of our young people and without you we could not do what we do. Volunteers offer encouragement, support, and help in more ways than we can count. To all current and prospecting volunteers we want to say

Volunteer Positions:

Tutoring: a position that requires at least one hour every other week to help students with homework as they
may need.
Teach a Life Skill: this position is a one or two time commitment that involves you coming in and teaching our
students about your skill, trade, or hobby that you enjoy and think they can benefit from.
Serving on a Committee:
advisory........assisting our executive team make decisions in regards to the LHYC
financial.........assisting our executive team make financial decisions in regards to the LHYC
marketing.......assisting our staff at the LHYC promote events and products
fundraising....this is for any person who is good at organizing and planning events
programs.......this is for a person who is interested in partnering with our Program Director and help bring
different programs into the LHYC that will help the development of our young people
Mentoring: a person who is interesting in committing to at least an hour a week for 6 months at the
LHYC and be dedicated to making same-sex relationships to help the young people in all
of their endeavors
